The National Association for the Advancement of Colored People will hold its monthly meeting at 2 p.m. Saturday at the Webb Center, 127 Pleasant St.
The guest speaker will be Nadine Jarmon, executive director of the Housing Authorities of Hot Springs and Arkadephia.
According to a biography provided by the NAACP, Jarmon has over 20 years of experience in the housing industry and holds a Ph.D. in Urban and Public Affairs and a Master's in Public Administration from UT Arlington. She also attended Yale University on a fellowship, holds an MBA from University of Houston and a Bachelor's in Public Administration from the University of Central Arkansas.
Jarmon has served as a panelist for several conferences over the years, including during her tenure as executive director of the Housing Authority of New Orleans, where she presented on "Capital Fund Financing Pre-and-Post-Katrina." She is currently the executive director of the Housing Authorities of Hot Springs and Arkadelphia via a joint contract, the biography said.
