A local man was arrested on felony charges Thursday morning after allegedly forcing his way into his ex-wife's home and taking his 2-year-old son from his legal guardian.

Ricky Lee Jordan Robinson, 21, who lists a Pullman Street address, was taken into custody shortly before 8:30 a.m. and charged with felony counts of residential burglary, punishable by up to 20 years in prison, interference with custody, punishable by up to 10 years, and a misdemeanor count of first-degree criminal mischief, punishable by up to one year in jail.

Robinson, who lists no prior felony history, was being held on a $9,500 bond and was set to appear Friday in Garland County District Court.

According to the probable cause affidavit, shortly after 8 a.m., Hot Springs police Officer Christopher McGlone responded to a residence in the 200 block of Dexter Street regarding a burglary.

He made contact with Robinson standing next to a tan passenger van attempting to leave with a male juvenile.

A woman, 18, was on scene and told officers Robinson came to the front door of the residence and "began beating on the door" looking for his wife and child. She said Robinson kicked in the front door and entered the residence.

Officers noted there was "significant damage" to the door and frame, estimated at $500.

The woman said Robinson wanted to know where his wife was located and then took the juvenile and left through the front door. Another woman, 44, told police she was the child's legal guardian and provided a letter of guardianship from Garland County Circuit Court confirming it.

The second woman told officers she wanted to press charges against Robinson for the incident. At that point, officers at the scene took Robinson into custody.
