Lucille Douglas was born on July 31, 1934, in Rock Island, Ill.
She grew up on a farm and graduated from high school in Port Byron, Ill.
She moved to Moline, Ill., where she worked as a secretary and bookkeeper for an equipment supply company.
In 1979, she married Mel Douglas and continued in her job until the fall of 1984, when they moved to Hot Springs, Ark.
There she was a housewife and took care of Mel.
Her parents and numerous aunts and uncles passed away while she was still in Illinois.
Just a few years ago, her only brother passed away and recently her stepdaughter.
She is currently survived by her husband, Mel, three nephews, two stepdaughters, one granddaughter, and their families.
In her lifetime, she had a number of surgeries in Illinois, as well as in Hot Springs.
At this time, she is currently at peace with Jesus.
