St. Thomas celebrates

anniversary on Sunday

St. Thomas Baptist Church, 347 Grove St., will celebrate a special church anniversary with a worship service commemorating 55 years of ministry, at 3 p.m. Sunday.

"Our theme for this occasion will be "Yesterday, Today, Tomorrow: Celebrating God's Faithfulness," Hebrews 18:8, a news release said.

Victory Temple COGIC of Arkadelphia will be the guest, with Pastor Darryl Maxwell delivering the spoken word and the choir rendering selections, it said.

"We are looking forward to a high time in the Lord," the release said. "Your prayers and presence are requested and will be a blessing to us."

St. Mark Baptist holds

Women's Day service

St. Mark Baptist Church, 542 Crescent, will observe its annual Women's Day during the 10 a.m. service on Sunday.

The theme is "What on Earth Am I Here For?" The speaker will be Yvonne Bearden of Church Alive Christian Center in McGehee. Everyone is welcome.
