Mary F. Smith, 75, of Hot Springs, Ark., received her wings and left this world to be with her heavenly father on Thursday, March 23, 2023.
She was born Nov. 21, 1947, in Booneville, Ark., to the late Granville and Hazel Trickett Corley.
She was predeceased by her parents; son, Keith Smith; sisters, Esther Corley, Marie Bates; brother, Richard Farmer; and nephew, Gary Williams.
Mary left behind her husband of 48 years, Ronald L. Smith; sisters, Patricia (Larry) Ceres, Joyce Prince; brother, Govan (Joy) Corley; brother-in-law, Houston Bates; six nieces; five nephews; and her many friends and family.
She was a member of Leonard Street Baptist Church. She worked at J.C. Penney, Quapaw and Garland nursing homes, Delta Plastics and was co-owner of Auto Parts Wholesale Co.
Mary loved her pets and animals, crossword puzzles, games on her phone, going to the lake, mini golf, helping people or animals that were in need.
Mary had a very sweet and kind heart.
Graveside service will be held at 2 p.m. Thursday, March 30, 2023, at Crestview Cemetery, with Brother Brady Smoke officiating.
Visitation will be 4-6 a.m. Wednesday at Hot Springs Funeral Home.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Humane Society of Garland County.
