The Garland County Library is removing barriers to library access by meeting users where they are -- through delivery, remote locker item pickup, curbside pickup, and virtual library use. All of these services, along with access to over a million books, movies, and more are free to all Garland County Library cardholders.

On a weekly basis, the library delivers requested materials to users throughout Garland County, including the entire Hot Springs Village community. Items must be placed on hold and available the day before scheduled delivery to qualify. Library returns can only be picked up if other items are being delivered. Email [email protected] to learn more.

The library now has four remote book lockers in Garland County: outside the library, at 401 Mid-America Blvd., inside the YMCA, and outside the Sunshine Store at 3129 Sunshine Road. Remote lockers are a way to retrieve held items at a convenient location. Book drops at all lockers are also available for any library user to return items. Email [email protected] to learn more.

The library also offers convenient curbside pickup for available holds. Once notified that a hold is available, simply pull under the book drop awning in one of the curbside spots and call the number on the sign. A staff member will bring items outside.

Finally, the library's digital branch is available everywhere, all the time. Use the library's website, http://www.gclibrary.com, or the free mobile app, http://www.app.gclibrary.com, for free access to over a million digital titles. Library cardholders can use Libby to download or stream e-books and audiobooks, and Hoopla for books, audiobooks, movies, and music. Users have access to dozens of databases, like Consumer Reports for product ratings, Mango for learning new languages, or NewsBank for reading local periodicals, and more. The digital library can be accessed from any internet-capable smartphone, tablet, or computer.
