BONNERDALE -- Richard Alan Parker, 75, of Bonnerdale, Ark., passed away May 12, 2023.

He was born Aug. 27, 1947, in Hot Springs, Ark., where he graduated high school. Richard served in the U.S. Marine Corps and later retired from the Oklahoma Highway Patrol. An avid gun collector and enthusiast, he was the proud owner of Qualified Shooters Supply in Broken Arrow, Okla., where he raised his family. In his later career, Richard spent 18 years as a District Loss Prevention Manager at Big Lots until he retired in 2014.

Richard had strong opinions and a big heart. He was a loving husband, devoted father and grandfather, and an extremely loyal friend. With a warm smile and a quick wit, he had a way of making people feel welcome. Richard will be greatly missed by all who knew him.

Richard was preceded in death by his parents, William Parker Jr. and Pearl Waitkus. Survivors include his wife, Teresa Parker; son, Rick Parker; daughter, Sandra Crawford; step-son, Cody Hall and his wife, Jenni; brother, Larry Parker and his wife, Jo-Anne; and his younger brother and best friend, John Parker and his wife, Cyndi. Also, nieces, Dawn Hicks and Trisha Parker; granddaughter, Danielle Lewis; grandson, Eric Humpert; and two great-grandsons, Rhett and Murphy Lewis - Papaw's boys.

There will be a gathering for family and friends at a later date.
