Adelia Frances Lewis Lerz, 73, of Hot Springs, passed away on Thursday, May 11, 2023, after a short illness.

Survived by her husband of 52 years, Rodney Lerz, of Hot Springs; daughter, Angela (Brian) Deloney and grandchildren, Austin and Madelyn Deloney, of Little Rock; sister, Evelyn (Jeral) Howard and nephew, Kevin Howard, all of North Little Rock; and nieces, Tania Lewis, of Little Rock and Nita Goodwin, of Morris, Ala.

Also surviving are Aunt Edna Ruth Strickland, of Heavner, Okla.; brother, Bill (Shirley) Lerz, of Hot Springs; niece, Corrie Wolf, of Hot Springs, grandnieces, Olivia Lerz, of Portland, Ore., and Haylee Wolf, of Bryant; sister, Victoria (Roger) Bird, of Kyle, Texas; niece, Stacy (John) Faecher; grandnephews, Justin (Taylor), Faecher and Blake and Koy Faecher, of Cypress, Texas.

Adelia was preceded in death by her son, Anthony Lerz, of Hot Springs, and her parents, Weldon "Dub" and Evelyn "Madge" Lewis, of Hot Springs; along with a nephew, Weldon Lewis III "Junior," of Little Rock; her in-laws, Doodie and Daisy Lerz, of Hot Springs; and brother-in-law, Mark Easterlin, of Hot Springs.

Born Dec. 23, 1949, in Hot Springs, Adelia attended Greenwood Elementary and the former Southwest Junior High, graduating from Hot Springs High School in 1967. She attended Henderson State University after graduation, but soon moved to Little Rock, where she was employed with the Arkansas State Highway Department as an administrative assistant for several years before returning to Hot Springs.

Upon returning to Hot Springs, Adelia married the love of her life, Rodney, and began working at Weyerhaeuser Corporation, where she remained for 39 years as a manager of customer segment. While employed with Weyerhaeuser, Adelia earned numerous awards from clients and the Weyerhaeuser Company for her knowledge of products and her dedicated service to the company.

Since retiring from Weyerhaeuser, Adelia has enjoyed her weekly exercise classes at First Baptist Church Fitness and her Wednesday volunteer work at the Grand Avenue Methodist Outreach Thrift Store on Albert Pike.

A 30-year survivor of breast cancer, Adelia spent many years attending the Cancer Walk with her daughter and grandchildren and raising funds for cancer research.

One of Adelia's great pleasures was vacationing with her family and friends and hosting her twin grandchildren for several weeks each summer.

Adelia was always supportive of the Garland County Vietnam Veterans Organization of which she and Rodney were founding members.

Adelia had many friends through the years and her passing has left a huge void in many lives.

Funeral service will be held at Caruth-Hale Funeral Home at 10 a.m. on Friday, June 2, 2023. Pastor David Fleming of Grand Avenue United Methodist Church will be the officiant. The burial will be private and held later with family and close friends.

Honorary pallbearers are Brian and Austin Deloney, Kevin Howard, Chalen Grisham and Vietnam Vets Organization of Hot Springs.
