Garland County Habitat for Humanity held a groundbreaking ceremony for the upcoming Faith Build last Thursday at 809 School St.

The Faith Build is an annual event where local churches help build a house by providing financial means and volunteers, according to a news release.

Sponsoring churches include Christ of the Hills United Methodist Church, Christ of the Hills United Methodist Church Men's Club, New Life Church, Sacred Heart Catholic Church, First Baptist Church, Community of Joy Lutheran Church, First United Methodist Church, Grand Avenue United Methodist Church and Village United Methodist Men.

Those present at the groundbreaking included Steve Trusty, Libby Harrington, Debbie Ugbade, Festus Ugbade, John Selig, Amanda Bass, Franklin Bass, Tamara Fritz, David Wylie, Ben Inman, Noah McCallum, Ethan Elkins, John McCallum, Chuck Clark and Cindy Wagstaff.
