Steven Kelly Grant, of Hot Springs, passed away May 19, 2023. He was born Oct. 3, 1958, to John Sweeney and Jean Grant.
Survivors include the love of his life, Shari Welch; a daughter, Abby Adelynn Toney (Erik); a grandchild, Elvyn McCoy Toney; his sister, Kathy Grant Smith (Rusty); and Shari's son, James Welch.
Kelly graduated from Hot Springs High School in 1977. He then attended the University of Arkansas, where he was a member of Kappa Sigma fraternity.
Kelly loved Hot Springs. He spent most of his work career in the food service industry. He was co-owner of My Place Restaurant, general manager of The Sawmill Depot, Oaklawn Park, Hot Springs Convention Center and Hot Springs Country Club.
He was a member of the Club Management Association of America and the Pin Tail Bayou Duck Club.
He loved duck hunting and cooking at his duck club with friends, and boating on Lake Ouachita and Lake Hamilton with Shari and their dogs.
Kelly was a member of St. Luke's Episcopal Church, where he was baptized and confirmed.
A memorial service will be held at a later date.
