Ron Coleman Mining, 211 Crystal Ridge Lane, Jessieville, has been the premiere destination for hands-on quartz crystal digging, mineral décor and gifts for over 30 years.

In the late 1980s, Ron Coleman purchased the mine from the German government and opened the public digging area in 1991. In 2014, Kevin (Ron's son) and Kathy Coleman took over the mining operation. Now a third generation is involved in the business. Kevin and Kathy's son, Josh, works with his parents at the mine as a quartz miner.

There are few activities more fun than digging your own quartz crystals. The mine is so fruitful it is almost certain you will find your digging fees worth of beautiful, quality, quartz crystals. This is one reason Ron Coleman Mining is considered one of the best crystal mines in Arkansas. The Berns Quartz, which is 7 feet tall and weighs 8,000 pounds and is on permanent display at the Smithsonian Museum of Natural History, was mined at the site.

Ron Coleman Mining also offers exciting mine tours and a side-by-side zip-line that soars over the crystal mine at nearly a quarter-mile long. This makes for a fun-filled time for everyone. The business offers group rates to schools, churches, Scouts, 4-H and mineral societies. Children's birthday party packages are also available.

For those looking for an extended stay, they offer an on-property 24-hour campground and tiny home rentals. This will allow you to take advantage of some of the many special events hosted in the future. The Annual Family Fun Day each October (10th year) and The Dig The Crystal Experience Total Eclipse on April 8, 2024, are just a few examples of the excitement and entertainment available.

If you are looking for something for that someone special in your life, Coleman's offers quartz crystal points and clusters mined at Ron Coleman Mining and globally sourced minerals. Unique gifts and jewelry are also available from a huge selection.

Located just 10 minutes from Hot Springs Village and 15 minutes from Hot Springs National Park, Ron Coleman Mining is a must-see destination. Open 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. Memorial Day to Labor Day, and 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. daily after Labor Day to the day before Memorial Day.
