RPGC to discuss upcoming county conventions

The Republican Party of Garland County will meet at 6:30 p.m. Thursday at Republican Headquarters in the McGrew Building, 615 W. Grand Ave.

RPGC 3rd Vice President Larry Bailey will speak to the committee about the county conventions that will be held at the May 2 RPGC meeting.

The public is welcome to attend this free event.

According to a news release, Bailey served in the U.S. Army as a second lieutenant, company commander, and basic training commanding officer, as well as AAF operations officer. He transferred to the U.S. Army Reserve and retired in 1994 as a colonel in the U.S. Army. Bailey has served as chairman of the RPGC and chairman of the 4th District Republican Committee. He has served on the Garland County Quorum Court and on the National Park College Board of Trustees.
