Bismarck member of Farm Bureau board attends annual convention

SALT LAKE CITY -- Magen Allen of Bismarck, a member of the Arkansas Farm Bureau board of directors, served as a voting delegate at the 105th annual American Farm Bureau Convention in Salt Lake City.

A total of 346 voting delegates took part in the business session, where public policy positions were defined by the membership of the nation's largest agricultural advocacy organization, a news release said.

Among the topics addressed were farm labor, development of the Farm Bill, federal tax policy, re-designation of the Buffalo National River, livestock marketing and rural development.
