Christina Terrazas has been promoted to Oaklawn Anywhere manager and Roxanne Tanner has returned to Oaklawn in the newly created position of player development coordinator. Both will be tasked with the continued growth of Oaklawn Anywhere, an online pari-mutuel wagering service especially for Arkansas residents that debuted during the 2014 live racing season.
Terrazas, a graduate of the University of Central Arkansas, first joined Oaklawn in September 2011 as the gaming controller.
"Christina has already made a tremendous mark on the accounting and analysis side of Oaklawn Anywhere in a very short amount of time," said Director of Racing David Longinotti. "She has been a valuable team member in Revenue Audit Department and her experience will quickly make her invaluable to the success of Oaklawn Anywhere."
Tanner, a graduate of Henderson State University, began working in Oaklawn's media relations department while still in college and continued in that capacity until 2009 when she left to take a similar position at Arlington Park. She has also held media and marketing positions with Churchill Downs and the Illinois Thoroughbred Horsemen's Association. In addition, she has a wealth of experience working with horses and horsemen and most recently was a veterinarian assistant with Kentucky Equine Medical Associates.
"Roxanne's background made her a perfect fit for this position and we're excited to have her back at Oaklawn," said Longinotti. "Her passion for racing is obvious and her extensive knowledge of the sport will definitely benefit Oaklawn Anywhere customers."
