A local man was reportedly shot by his grandfather shortly before 8:23 p.m. Tuesday at 124 Mayberry Lane.
Lt. James "Corky" Martin of the Garland County Sheriff's Department said in a news release that Garrett Cain, 26, and his 68-year-old grandfather, William Cain, were arguing in the kitchen of the home when Garrett Cain reportedly threatened William Cain with a knife and then charged at him.
William Cain then shot Garrett Cain once in the abdomen area. Garrett Cain was airlifted from the scene with what appeared to be non-life threatening injuries.
"At this point we have no motive for the argument and no charges have been filed, however, the investigation is ongoing," Martin said.
