The 26th Annual Homecoming Celebration will be held at Hickory Hill Park, 216 Bryant Road, Hot Springs, today. The evening concert will begin at 7 p.m.

Featured in tonight's concert will be The Apostles from Little Rock. Renewing the heritage of the original quartet, the current group was organized in 1998. Signed as recording artists with Son Sound Music Group Platinum Records, the group has been featured at Charlie Waller's Grand Ole Gospel Reunion, the Gatlinburg Gatherings and showcased at the National Quartet Convention.

As regular performing artists with the Jammin' for Jesus concerts held in Branson, Mo., theaters, they were given the Son Rise Award by the Branson Gospel Music Association in 1999 and 2000 as Branson's Southern Gospel Group of the Year. They have recorded many projects through the years.

Also featured in tonight's concert will be Heavenly Harmony from White Hall. Members of the trio are Carole McCarroll, Meredith Casada and Tina Armstrong. They began singing with one another about three years ago when McCarroll called Casada and Armstrong asked to sing the old classic "Build My Mansion" on Sunday morning in church. They have always possessed a love and a passion for music, but it was at that moment when they realized something special had been formed between them. They firmly believe they were brought together by the Lord to carry out the Great Commission in song. Their southern gospel music ministry has provided opportunities to sing for and with various groups. Their CDs have been distributed from the west coast to the east coast.

The Hawkins Family of Hot Springs will be the host group for the evening's concert.

The amphitheater holds more than 500 guests. There are no seats in the outdoor amphitheater so visitors are reminded to bring a lawn chair or quilt. Buddy's Barnyard Café offers soft drinks, coffee, nachos, caramel apples and lots more. The park is "kid friendly" for kids from 2 to 92. Restrooms are available. Parking and admission are free. An offering will be taken. The park grounds and the refreshment stand open at 6 p.m.

Directions from downtown Hot Springs: from the fountain located at the north end of Central Avenue, travel approximately six miles on Park Avenue to the junction of Highways 5 and 7 north. Turn left on Highway 7 north, go about one mile. Watch for the sign and turn on the first road to the right and go two blocks. The park is located at 216 Bryant Road.
