Time to wake up, America

Dear editor:

I have kept my thoughts to myself long enough. As Popeye said, "I can't stanz it no more," so I have two issues I ask your readers to consider. First of all, as one who has served his country in the past, I cannot understand why some of our people are acting like they are. Teachers are walking on our flag to show freedom of speech in the classroom. I wonder where they think they got that freedom? How many gave their lives for that flag and what it stands for? Why are people spraying graffiti on one of our veterans homes?

What is so cool about that? Where is their brains? We had better wake up and support this free country while there is still time.

Secondly, where is our president's brain? He just stated on television that our biggest threat is global warming. Do you really think that, and if you do, you need help. This radical group is taking over other countries and has ordered attacks here. Believe me, they are going to act while we just grasshopper away, playing our fiddles. Yes, global warming is sure coming. Please let me quote II Peter 3:10: "But the day of the Lord will come as a thief in the night: in the which the heavens shall pass away with a great noise, the elements shall melt with fervent heat, the earth also and the works that are therein shall be burned up." There is your global warming that we should be concerned with. Wake up America and turn back to the Almighty God, if it is not too late.
