The annual Tikes, Trikes, and Trails event for children will be held Saturday from 9-11 a.m. at Entergy Park, 530 Lakepark Drive, off Carpenter Dam Road.
Children ages 8 and younger can participate, which will be held on a paved quarter-mile long trail using strollers, Big Wheels, tricycles, or bicycles with or without training wheels. Motorized vehicles are not allowed.
Youths who are at least 9 years old can participate in the Take a Kid Mountain Biking Day, where they will be introduced to basic mountain biking skills by an experienced mountain bike rider. Youth riders will be supervised on the trail and will complete at least one loop of the three-quarter mile long Water Tower Loop Trail.
Safety helmets are required, and bike safety inspections will be available. Certificates will be awarded to all participants. T-shirts, water and snacks will be provided. Registration begins at 9 a.m. and activities start at 10 a.m.
The event is sponsored by the Hot Springs Parks and Trails Department, Parkside Cycle, Hot Springs Bicycle Association, and the International Mountain Bicycling Association. Call 321-6871 for more information.
