Makenna Simpson, 9, a fourth-grader at Kirby Elementary School, runs the obstacle course as part of the activities for the National Park Service's 100-year birthday celebration Thursday on Arlington Lawn in Hot Springs National Park. Other activities included horseshoes, hula hoops, badminton, crafts and learning about the park's history.
