Recently introduced as newly elected deacons and their assistants at Barcelona Road Baptist Church in Hot Springs Village were Barbara Powell, front left, Rose Poindexter, John Emmons, Nancy Emmons, Muff Glover; middle, Henry Powell, Darlene Parker, Joe Poindexter, Kristin Whitaker, Vickie Russell, Harold Garrett; back, Ken Parker, Randy Whitaker and Dennis Russell. There are 21 deacons at Barcelona Road Baptist, they each serve three-year terms, helping the church's pastor to provide support for those who might have health issues, family needs, crises and other prayer requests.
