Jennifer Worrell, who originally joined Oaklawn as internal audit manager in November 2014, has been promoted to Southwest Catering accounting manager. Southwest Catering is responsible for Oaklawn's entire food and beverage operation.
Worrell, a native of Chicago, holds a B.S. in Accounting and Management from DePaul University in Chicago. She worked as an accountant and financial analyst in her hometown before relocating to Hot Springs to be closer to her parents, who had retired to the area. In addition to her role in auditing, Worrell has assisted in different accounting areas at Oaklawn, developing broad knowledge of the company.
"Jennifer is always willing to jump in and never hesitates when asked to take on a new project," Controller Scott Fredrick said in the release. "She's an important part of the accounting team and definitely deserving of this promotion."
Worrell and her husband, Justin, have one son, Roman.
