Earth Angel

The Solid Waste Department provides brush collection in two different ways: brush that is collected through the Clean Attractive Property Service and the leaf/mulch service, which is taken to the city of Hot Springs Compost Facility at 318 Davidson Drive. C.A.P.S. will pick up brush that must be cut in 6 feet lengths or less and no larger than 24 inches in diameter. Please do not mix with trash, wood, paper, cans, bottles or wire. The leaf/mulch truck collects up to 50 bags of leaves, small hedges trimmings, no longer than 3 feet in length and no larger than 3 inches in diameter. Then, it's taken to the compost facility to be processed. The compost is made from a mixture of wood chips and dewatered biosolids from the city's wastewater facility. For more information on compost, call their office at 501-802-1756 or their information line at 501-262-3572.
