The BJ Chapter of the Philanthropic Educational Organization, or P.E.O., recently presented the STAR Scholarship to Alaina Edwards, a 2019 graduate of Lakeside High School. According to a news release, Edwards plans to attend the University of Mississippi in the fall and pursue a degree in international studies with a focus on global health. P.E.O. is a philanthropic organization to promote women's education. Edwards, front, holding certificate, is pictured with P.E.O. members.
