Mildred Sue "Millie" Welch, age 82, of Hot Springs, passed away on Wednesday, July 1, 2020.

She was born on March 9, 1938, in Amity, the daughter of Jettie Miller Dyer Davis and Lucille Garner Davis. On Sept. 4, 1955, and just before her senior year at Amity High School, she married John H. Welch. They moved to Vallejo, Calif., and, as promised, she finished high school there.

She worked for many years at Casual Corner in Richmond, Calif., where she was their top salesperson for many years. She enjoyed talking about her memories of playing basketball at Amity High School and, after their move back to Arkansas, getting together for regular class reunions. She was known as a spectacular housekeeper and homemaker.

She is survived by her husband, John H. Welch, of Hot Springs; her daughter, Darla Ann Welch, of Monterey, Calif.; and many nieces and nephews.
