The owner of Bone's Chophouse has acquired J&S Italian Villa in Temperance Square, a spokesman for Beasley Properties Inc. confirmed Wednesday.

The spokesman said owner Lee Beasley will keep Bone's at its 3920 Central Ave. location. According to Bone's website, Beasley has been in the restaurant business for 30 years.

"Beasley Properties recently acquired the Italian Villa, an established restaurant in Hot Springs for many years," the spokesman said. "We will be using the original owner's recipes, and with that move we've also decided to leave Bone's Chophouse exactly where it is. Beasley Properties is committed to having locally owned establishments and restaurants in Hot Springs."

Bone's Hot Springs location opened in 2017. It also has a location in west Little Rock.

Owner-chef Sham Afkhami and his brother, Jamal, started J&S Italian Villa in 2000. Jamal's retirement in 2014 made Sham the sole owner.

"Italian Villa will be serving their signature dishes and sauces using Sham's original recipes," the spokesman said. "Dean Jennings will be overseeing operations at Italian Villa."

Amber Henson with Urban Living and Development assisted in the sale of the restaurant.
