Lidija Minginas, 96, went to be with her Lord and Savior on Sept. 17, 2020. She passed from this earth with her loved ones by her side. Lidija was a devout Catholic and served God throughout her life. Lidija arrived in the United States with her husband, Dr. Zenonas Minginas, at Ellis Island on Christmas Eve 1949. They lived in Chicago where they had a son, John Z. Minginas, in 1950. In 1967 the family moved to Hot Springs where Lidija spent every year, including this last season, enjoying the horse races. She even called herself a railbird. Lidija worked for several years at the Majestic Hotel's sundry shop.

Lidija was always a gracious hostess and gave of herself and her possessions freely. She loved gardening and had a beautiful yard filled with flowers.

Lidija was predeceased by her father, William Jurokin; her mother, Elana Jurokin; her husband, Zenonas Minginas, M.D.; her sister, Olla Jurokin; and her beloved grandmother, Serafina Jurokin.

She is survived by a family all over the world that she loved dearly, including her son, John Z. Minginas and Billie, and her loyal and dear friend, David Smith, all of Hot Springs; her loving niece, Genute, of Melbourne, Australia; niece, Remute, of Vilnius, Lithuania; great-nephews, Paul, Warren and Jonas; and great-nieces, Clare, Leontina, Tina and Kim; and several great-great-nieces and nephews

Visitation will be 5-7 p.m. Monday at Gross Funeral Home. Rosary will be 10:30 a.m. Tuesday, with Mass of Christian Burial beginning at 11 a.m. at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church. Burial will follow in Calvary Cemetery.
