On Dec. 29, 2020, Rodger Vincent Luker, 65, of Hot Springs, entered into the presence of God; the One he had sang and played for his whole life. COVID-19 may have silenced his voice here, but today he is singing for eternity in a land where the singing will never end.

He was born April 28, 1955, in Chattanooga, Tenn., to James and Aline Luker.

He is predeceased by his parents, wife, Deleyn Luker, and two grandchildren.

Loving survivors include his wife, Teresa Luker; sons, Jeremy Luker and Chase (Samantha) Helton; daughters, Nikki Luker, Sydney (Alex) Beasley, Heather Luker, Haylee Luker, Hanna Luker and Krystal Sims; brother, Terry (Sandy) Luker; sisters, Noralene Porterfield, Pat (Billy) Keeton, and Denise (Dale) Weaver; and 15 grandchildren.

A celebration of Rodger's life will be 10 a.m. Saturday at Faith Pointe Ministries with Brother Ronnie Vanderslice and Brother Doug Lackey officiating. In order to help protect those attending, COVID-19 guidelines will be followed and masks provided.
