The following galleries will be open for Gallery Walk, which will be held from 5-8 p.m. today, according to the Hot Springs Area Cultural Alliance's Facebook page and news releases from some of the galleries. Participants are asked to social distance, wear a mask and keep hands washed.

Art Original-ly

3911 Central Ave. Suite D

New works of art by Rick VanHook and Gina Kraft, the gallery's newest artist. It also offers unique, original gifts, and works of art and photography by Arkansas artists including Buddy Whitlock, Kelly Vanhook, Tim Donar, Sarah Dore and Julie Reardon. Locally owned and operated. Call 501-508-9957 to tour the gallery virtually.

American Art Gallery and Gifts LLC

724 Central Ave.

Featuring acrylic work by Grant Rose, who said the driving force behind his work is the way it can stir human emotions. "Originally I started my artwork as an escape, a way to leave reality to feel some normalcy during a time of chaos. I have chosen horses as the majority of my themes," Rose said in a news release.

Claude Lambert will be present to show and discuss knifemaking and leatherwork.

Ernie Bolieu will show and talk on Southwest Jewelry.

Pottery and pine needle baskets by Valerie Hanks-Goetz will be on display.

Wall art by gallery artists will be available. Prints by national artist and local artists will be available.

Justus Fine Art Gallery

827-A Central Ave.

The March exhibit at Justus Fine Art Gallery will feature new work by Matthew Hasty and Steven Wise. "Hasty's luminous work masterfully captures light and atmospheric conditions in his Southern landscapes," a news release said. New paintings from Wise include "playful landscapes that are rich with texture and color." The exhibition will also include selections of work by Dustyn Bork, Donnie Copeland, Randall Good, Robyn Horn, John Lasater, Sandra Sell and Gene Sparling. The show will open with a reception from 5-9 p.m. today as part of Gallery Walk. Due to COVID-19 precautions, guests are asked to wear masks while in the gallery. The exhibit will be on display through March 31.

Owned by artist Dolores Justus, Justus Fine Art Gallery offers a wide range of original art including sculpture, paintings, ceramics and photography by recognized artists. Opening receptions are held in conjunction with Gallery Walk. Hours are 10 a.m. to 5 p.m., Wednesday through Saturday and by appointment. For more information, call 501-321-2335 or visit https://justusfineart.com.

Gallery Central

340-A Central Ave.

Open until 6 p.m. The gallery features diverse styles and mediums from both Arkansas artists and internationally known artists showcasing original fine art, women's clothing, gifts and housewares.

The Warehouse

301 E. Broadway St.

The Warehouse will feature art, wine, live music and some sweet treats from 6-9 p.m. today.

Whittington Gallery

307 Whittington Ave.

Under new ownership, Whittington Gallery's new artist for March is Bill Alley, who has been creating art since he retired 10 years ago. Alley said he is "super excited" to be part of the Whittington Gallery family. Patrons are welcome to stop by today during Gallery Walk to welcome Alley to the art community. The gallery is open 4-9 p.m.

Artists Workshop Gallery

610-A Central Ave.

Hugh Dunnahoe and Irma McLeod, two artists whose works are in perfect harmony with the upcoming season, are March's Featured Artists. The Gallery's temporary COVID-19 hours are Thursday through Saturday, 11 a.m. to 5 p.m., and Sunday, noon to 5 p.m. A virtual Gallery Walk on Facebook features the works of all their artists.

Emergent Arts

341 Whittington Ave.

Coleman Gocio's terrariums will be on display in the front window during the month of March. The gallery is not currently open to the public, but the display is meant to be viewed from the front window. "I'm drawn to making mini-representations of landscapes because they don't have to represent anything, other than what they are. In a polarized and divisive environment, it is cathartic to view calm and stillness," Gocio said in describing his work.

Dryden Pottery

341 Whittington Ave.

Dryden Pottery will be open today for Gallery Walk, offering fresh, new, one-of-a-kind pieces, emerging from the kilns weekly.
