A local woman, her teen son and a local man were all arrested on multiple felony drug charges Friday following an alleged road rage incident involving a gun being pointed at other motorists on Airport Road.

Tiffany Lynn Tucker, 38, her son, Jodi Tucker Poland, 18, and Rashaad Dean Scott, 24, who all list the same address on Cenark Lane, were all taken into custody shortly before 4:30 p.m. in the 1300 block of Airport Road and each charged with simultaneous possession of drugs and a firearm, punishable by up to life in prison, and possession of marijuana with purpose to deliver, punishable by up to six years.

Tucker, a felon, was also charged with felony counts of possession of a firearm by certain persons and possession of cocaine with purpose to deliver, each punishable by up to 20 years in prison. Tucker and Scott were also each charged with a misdemeanor count of possession of drug paraphernalia, punishable by up to one year in jail.

All three were being held on zero bonds and were set to appear Monday in Garland County District Court.

According to the probable cause affidavit, shortly after 3:30 p.m. Friday, Garland County sheriff's Deputy Candice Presley was dispatched to a disturbance at 1370 Airport Road involving someone pointing a gun.

Sgt. Greg Kellar arrived first, and when Presley got there, Kellar had two males, later identified as Poland and Scott, held at gunpoint against a maroon Honda Acura. He ordered both of them to walk backward toward Presley one at a time so she could take them into custody.

While they were being handcuffed, Poland stated he had a gun in his front left pocket. Presley removed a black Glock 43 handgun with a loaded magazine, but no live round in the chamber.

While she was speaking to the two males, Kellar approached the Acura and located a woman, identified as Tucker, in the front passenger seat. Presley noted an odor of marijuana and Scott reportedly admitted he had some in his pocket and two clear baggies of suspected marijuana were found on his person.

Another Glock handgun was reportedly found under the front passenger seat where Tucker was sitting and also seized. In the center console, deputies found scales and two small gun magazines.

A second vehicle, a Ford Fusion, was parked next to the Acura and it was found to be registered to Tucker. She stated her son, Poland, had been driving it. In searching the Fusion, several more magazines were found and a glass jar with a baggie of marijuana inside.

Dispatchers notified the deputies that a witness at the scene reportedly saw Tucker hide something in her bra just before deputies arrived. Presley asked Tucker about it and she initially denied having anything, but finally pulled out a bag with eight smaller baggies inside that contained 4.2 grams of what later tested positive for cocaine.

The victims of the earlier incident involving the gun being pointed arrived at the scene and indicated they wanted charges. It was determined the incident began in the 100 block of Airport Road, which is in the city limits, so Kellar notified dispatchers to contact Hot Springs police to let them investigate that part of it.

Presley notified agents with the 18th Judicial District East Drug Task Force who later seized the guns and drugs. The total amount of marijuana recovered was reportedly 18.2 grams. It was noted Tucker also had $500 in her possession was taken into evidence.

According to court records, Tucker pleaded guilty on Nov. 16, 2015, to three felony counts of first-degree endangering the welfare of a minor and was sentenced to five years' supervised probation. Scott was arrested on Dec. 22, 2020, on three felony counts of possession of a controlled substance with purpose to deliver involving cocaine, ecstasy and Percocet. He was later released on an $8,500 bond and is set for an omnibus hearing on the charges in Garland County Circuit Court Wednesday. Poland had no prior criminal history.
