Car winds up in creek in Mid-America mishap

Emergency personnel worked Wednesday to tow a Hyundi Elantra out of a creek in the 100 block of Mid-America Boulevard.

The driver of the vehicle reportedly lost control while turning onto Mid-America from Mountain Pine Road around 12:30 p.m., went off a low-water bridge and came to rest in a creek.

The driver and a passenger were not injured.
