HOT SPRINGS VILLAGE -- The Village Chorale will present "GLORIA!", its annual celebration of the Christmas season, at 7:30 p.m. Dec. 7 at Woodlands Auditorium.

Tickets are $12 and are available at http://www.hsvticketsales.com, the Woodlands ticket office, and Chorale members.

"The Village Chorale is delighted to be back on the Woodlands stage sharing beautiful music with you" after an absence due to COVID-19 pandemic restrictions, a news release said.

"The Chorale will celebrate this glorious season as the curtain rises with the opening notes of Craig Courtney's 'Festival Gloria.' They will be accompanied on this selection by piano and string quartet, it will set the tone for the entire concert," the release said.

"You will hear songs of the season from a number of different genres -- fine choral settings of classic carols, brand-new arrangements of some of your favorite Christmas standards, jazz settings of familiar Christmas songs," it said.

In addition to the string quartet, guest instrumentalists will include a jazz trio, guitar, and flute. "And a Chorale concert is always a multimedia experience."

The Chorale's mission is "Connecting Community to the Choral Art." It reaches out to the Hot Springs and Hot Springs Village communities with two major concerts each year in addition to many other appearances at special events.

"If you are new to the area or have not seen a Chorale performance, give yourself a treat by spending an enjoyable evening listening to the fine choral sounds produced by this excellent ensemble," the release said.

The concert sponsor for this performance is ReMax of Hot Springs Village, and the ticket sponsor is Arvest Bank. "The Chorale appreciates the support of all of their sponsors who make these concerts possible," the release said.
