Elks Lodge 380 held its inaugural Car Show at the Lodge on Oct. 16 with over 40 entries.
"Fine examples of vehicles, from 1932 to 1936 antiques, through classic Fords, Chevrolets, Mercury, Volkswagen and Mercedes to Corvettes, were entered, providing strong competition for the trophies and great entertainment for onlookers," a news release said.
Door prizes were given to numerous entrants, a concession booth was available for lunch, an Elks Drug Awareness Display was set up, complete with a visit from "Elroy," the Elks Drug Awareness Elk, and trophies were awarded in seven categories, plus one for "Cleanest Car."
"All judges agreed that decisions were made difficult by the quality of the entries," the release said.
"The entire community was welcomed to the show by the Elks, and due to the strong response and enthusiasm, next year's show has already been scheduled for Oct. 22, 2022," the release said.
