HOT SPRINGS VILLAGE -- Crystal Chimes Chorus is seeking new members.

"As with so many groups, the Crystal Chimes Chorus has been greatly affected by COVID. As we regroup and renew, we are looking for ladies who like to sing, who like to have fun, who want to make new friends ... and who would like a music lesson every week," a news release said.

Those who are interested are welcome to visit the group from 1-4 p.m. Tuesdays in the Christ of the Hills UMC choir room, 700 Balearic Road, Hot Springs Village.

The chorus is a member of Sweet Adelines International, "one of the largest women's singing organizations in the world," singing a cappella and barbershop harmony.

"You don't need to be able to read music to join, because we use recorded and printed media to learn. Four-part a cappella harmony is the most beautiful music on Earth," the release said.

"We are currently learning holiday music for our show, in December. We invite you to sing with us as a guest ... there is no pressure to learn all of the music and you can hold your music as you perform. If you enjoy yourself as much as we hope you will, we invite you to join us, as a member."

For more information, call Judy Pugh, 817-714-5716, or email her at [email protected]. "This is important, if you are going to visit, because we want to make sure that we have a Visitor's Music Folder for you."
