WATCH: Natural gas leak closes highway for more than 2 hours

Arkansas Highway 7 south was blocked in the area of Albright Road and Highway 290 for around two and a half hours Tuesday due to a natural gas leak that occurred near Albright.

Garland County sheriff's deputies and the Lake Hamilton Fire Department also responded to the scene, and traffic was diverted onto nearby roadways.

The Arkansas Department of Transportation reported the incident on Twitter shortly before 11 a.m., and said the roadway reopened shortly before 1:30 p.m.
