More than 4,000 Entergy Arkansas customers were without power in Garland County and several city streets were blocked by fallen trees Sunday evening after a line of severe thunderstorms moved through the area.

The outages had been reduced to fewer than 100 by Monday morning.

In the city, roadways were blocked on Ridgeway Street, Lakeside Road and Lakeland Drive as a result of the storms.

Entergy's online outage map showed the power outages were spread across the city and the county, with a cluster of around 300 in the Ridgeway Street area.

"Due to the thunderstorms along with the high winds that have and continue to move through the area we are experiencing numerous outages," the website said.

"Entergy personnel are working to restore service as quickly and safely as possible. The estimated time of restoration could change as all damage assessments are completed or if other storm activity results in additional outages."
