Vernon Grisham began serving the community with his expertise in heating and AC repair in 1968, working out of his home before incorporating in 1971, opening up a storefront on Sixth Street in Hot Springs. Dale and Rhonda Kemp purchased the business in 1989 and relocated to the current location in 1994.

Jason Vincent, while serving in the U.S. Air Force, married the Kemps' daughter, Paula, in 1994, and began working in the business in 1998.

Grisham One Hour Heating and Air Conditioning now has 18 employees and meets all HVAC needs including gas heating systems, heat pump, ductless minisplit systems and a full line offering of Indoor Air Quality products to filter, clean and purify the air your family breathes in the home. Heating and cooling load calculation to ensure proper sizing for your home. Financing is available for all services provided along with any major credit card. From seasonal maintenance, repairs or replacing your complete systems, we've got you covered. Every employee has been drug tested and background checked for community confidence and safety.

For many years we served a number of commercial and light industrial customers' HVAC and refrigeration needs, but with a desire to better serve the residential and retirement community, our focus has evolved from an 80/20 split to a 95% residential customer base. We felt the need to specialize more in rapidly changing technology advancements for residential applications.

We have always taken lots of pride in the relationships we develop with customers and the quality of services provided, along with warranties unmatched in the industry, We don't just want to sell the customer a product and never see them again. We thrive in service after the sell. We also focus on a family-first atmosphere with our employees.

The business has won 1st place in The Sentinel-Record Readers Choice Awards for 23 years; in 2007, Best Customer Service for all businesses; Best Heating and Air Service for Hot Springs Village Voice Readers Choice; five-time Outstanding Dealer Performance (top 5% regionally) for Lennox International; and 2018 top "net promoter score" for One Hour customer service.

With plans to grow and provide their superior service to surrounding communities, in 2018 Jason and Paula bought two One Hour Heating and Air Conditioning franchise territories. This move provided a more organized and structured system with great resources for equipment and material purchases that allow the company to continue its outstanding customer service without major pricing increases as the industry across the country continues to inflate equipment and product prices seemingly every month.

From the beginning, we have been about superior customer service. We must strive to continue this in an ever-changing industry and economy that makes it very difficult to keep up. We also have evolved into a career-oriented business. We do not want employees to work here for "just another job," we want them to have a career, a place to call home and be able to raise a family and grow.
