COVID-19 update: A note to our readers

As of Sunday, The Sentinel-Record will no longer publish a daily coronavirus update, including data, charts and maps in the iPad edition and at http://www.hotsr.com. Reader interest in this information has waned as the U.S. and Arkansas have entered a different stage of the pandemic.

The Sentinel-Record will continue to report on the impact and trajectory of the virus in Arkansas and around the world.

The Arkansas Department of Health is no longer reporting confirmed and probable cases separately. The following stats were posted Friday on the Health Department's website:

• 842,439 cumulative cases, up 391 from Thursday.

• 326.86 rolling seven-day average of new cases, up 10.86 from Thursday.

• 5,178,473 PCR test reports, up 3,007 from Thursday.

• 11.5% cumulative PCR infection rate, no change from Thursday.

• 3,763 active cases, up 136 from Thursday.

• 447 active juvenile cases, up 32 from Thursday.

• 826,975 recoveries, up 253 from Thursday.

• 5,266,150 vaccine doses received, no change from Thursday.

• 4,091,800 doses given, up 1,607 from Thursday.

• 70 hospitalizations, no change from Thursday.

• Three cases on ventilators, up one from Thursday.

• 13 ICU patients, up three from Thursday.

• 11,471 deaths, up three from Thursday.

• 2,447 nursing home deaths, up one from Thursday.

• 23,446 cumulative cases in Garland County, up 10 from Thursday.

• 6.43 rolling seven-day average of new cases, up 0.86 from Thursday.

• 200,868 PCR and antigen test reports, up 63 from Thursday.

• 12.1% cumulative PCR infection rate, no change from Thursday.

• 79 active cases in Garland County, no change from Thursday.

• 22,855 recoveries in Garland County, up 10 from Thursday.

• 512 deaths, no change from Thursday.
