The Crystal Chimes Chorus recently installed its 2023-24 board of directors.
"At this time, the Sweet Adeline Of The Year is announced. The ladies of the board work throughout the year to keep the chorus running smoothly. This is not an easy task and their time, and efforts, are greatly appreciated by all of the membership," a news release said.
This year's Sweet Adeline of the Year, Sonja Parnell, lives in Hot Springs and has a full-time job. "She still manages to share her beautiful tenor voice, as well as her many other talents. We would like to congratulate Sonja and thank her, and the entire board," for making the chorus run smoothly, the release said.
Women who enjoy singing four-part a cappella harmony who would like to visit the chorus can call Judy Pugh at 817-714-5716 or email [email protected]. Then, drop by the choir room at the Christ of the Hills church on Tuesdays at 1 p.m. "If you live in Hot Springs, we can arrange for carpooling. There will be a music book for you to use and you can join in the fun," the release said.
