MOUNT IDA -- Glenn R. Irons, 83, of Mount Ida, passed away Monday, May 29, 2023.
He was born Jan. 15, 1940, in Washita, the son of Carroll E. and Ethel Winnie Duncan Irons.
He was preceded in death by his son, Russell Irons; parents; and sister, Bernell Caldwell.
On July 17, 1965, Glenn married Bonnie Sue Carter. Glenn was a U.S. Army veteran, a member of the Faith Tabernacle Church in Mount Ida, and for over 28 years worked for Montgomery County Road Department. A favorite of Glenn's was loafing with his friends in Mount Ida. Glenn will truly be missed by all who knew and loved him.
Survivors include his wife, Bonnie Irons of Mount Ida; stepson, Troy (Liz) Caudle of Bentonville; granddaughter, Alyssa (Travis) Hesser of Fenton, Mo.; great-grandsons, Jack and Rhett Hesser; and numerous extended family members and wonderful friends.
Graveside services were held at 2 p.m. Thursday, in Reed Cemetery with Brother Don Vaughn officiating.
Arrangements are under the direction of Smith Family Funeral Home, Glenwood.
