The Unitarian Universalist Church of Hot Springs, 1701 Spring St., has visitation at 10 a.m. Sunday and the main service at 10:30 a.m. The speaker will be John Smid, with the message "Pray the Gay Away?" Smid was a national spokesperson, a frequent television guest and a licensed minister, a news release said. "He is the husband of 10 years to Larry McQueen and they live in Pearcy Arkansas. He is the father of two daughters and has four grandchildren. John's deepest desire was to be the best person he knew how to be.
