MALVERN -- The Miss Brickfest 2023 pageant will bring all the "Glitz, Glam, and Glory" to the stage at the Malvern High School auditorium, 525 E. Highland Ave., at 6 p.m. June 17.
"Join us as our fabulous contestants pay tribute to Old Glory with a 'Glitz and Glam' opening number," a news release said.
"Our pageant is open statewide to girls ages 3 to 22 competing in five age divisions, Little Miss, Petite Miss, Junior Miss, Teen Miss, and Miss Brickfest. Photogenic is an optional competition for each age division, with the Community Service Award as an optional competition only for the Miss and Teen Miss divisions. The People's Choice Award is also a very important part of Miss Brickfest," the release said.
To help combat food insecurity in the community and state, Miss Brickfest Chairwoman and UIM Diamond State Elite Mrs. Angela Sexton "is an instrumental leader in this fight. All funds generated by this portion of the pageant go directly to the 'Summer Cereal Drive,' which is then donated to the Arkansas Food Bank," the release said.
"Miss Brickfest promotes a fun-filled, positive experience, providing a friendly atmosphere to compete and embrace healthy competition. We are honored to have the opportunity to help build up and support the young ladies in our community and great state of Arkansas," it said.
