"Saturday Night Live" alum and the creator of hit sketch comedy shows "Portlandia" and "Documentary Now!" Fred Armisen has joined the lineup of Atlas Obscura's Ecliptic Festival at Valley of the Vapors.
The actor and comedian will take the stage Sunday, April 7.
"Fred was very excited to be added to the lineup; he has a lot of friends on the lineup in a number of the bands," says Low Key Arts Executive Director Sonny Kay.
A multi-instrumentalist himself, Armisen will be performing comedy from his tour "Comedy for Musicians but Everyone is Welcome." He uses musical instruments as props throughout the show and focuses on jokes around musical themes.
"We were obviously thrilled to be able to include him and the sort of caboose-like announcement to the whole thing just seems somehow appropriate, and he deserves all the attention he gets, so to be able to dedicate a special announcement to just him felt pretty good," said Kay.
With his main instrument being the drums, Armisen is currently the bandleader for "Late Night with Seth Meyers."

Speakers at Ecliptic include Summer Ash, John Bucher, Torri Yates-Orr, Rebecca Boyle, Kelly Reidy, Joshua Foer, Dylan Thuras, Adam Rubin, LD Deutsch, Michael Jones McKean, "MythBuster" Adam Savage, Beth Willman and Graham Lau.
