Arkansas Midland Railroad to pay over $900K for violation

A more than $900,000 penalty has been levied against Arkansas Midland Railroad Company as part of a settlement with the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency for having illegally stored hazardous waste on a private rail track in Hot Springs, the EPA announced Wednesday.
