Hot Springs RC Flying Club will participate in the second annual Academy of Model Aeronautics Model Aviation Day Fly-In and fundraiser for the Wounded Warriors Project Benefit from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday at Cedar Glades Park, off Wildcat Road, north of Hot Springs. The public is welcome.
Participating will be 176 model aircraft clubs from across the nation. Last year, more than $76,000 was raised nationwide, with $1,000 coming from the local club.
There will be radio controlled model aircraft on display and numerous flights and demonstration. Admission is free for the public with a noon barbeque lunch offered for $5. Donations for the Wounded Warrior Project will be welcome.
