Dear editor: Enough is enough

Dear editor:

Finally, the truth is told, so now let’s move on to what is important. On Aug. 2, the House Intelligence Committee, led by Republicans seeking the truth, released their official report. It should have been front-page news and the lead story on the networks. They have concluded that there was no deliberate wrongdoing by the Obama administration in the 2012 attack on the U.S. Consulate in Benghazi, Libya, that killed Ambassador Chris Stevens and three other Americans, said Rep. Mike Thompson, the second-ranking Democrat on the committee. Mike Thompson also stated that the report “confirms that no one was deliberately misled, no military assets were withheld and no stand-down order (to U.S. forces) was given.”

This official report by the House Intelligence Committee conflicts with accusations of administration wrongdoing being voiced by Rep. Darrell Isa, whose House Government Oversight and Reform Committee has held hearings on the Benghazi attack. This should come as no surprise to anyone, as all knowledgeable and politically savvy people recognize that Rep. Isa’s actions are just the shameless, unscrupulous political tactics to discredit President Obama. Rep. Isa’s committee has been a waste of money spent entirely for political gain and we let the Isa’s get away with it by repeatedly electing and returning them to Congress so they can continue their senseless partisan shenanigans.

I feel most agree with me, enough is enough and it’s time for Congress to tend to the nation’s business.
