HOT SPRINGS VILLAGE -- The Script Committee for the Crystal Chimes has finished writing the script for the group's fall show, "Mardi Gras or Bust," set for Sept. 20, at 7:30 p.m., at Woodlands Auditorium.

Those participating in the show are learning the music, and choreography is being finalized.

The Chorus, a member of Sweet Adelines International, will be visiting several cities on their way to New Orleans, and songs such as New York, New York, Sentimental Journey, God Bless America, and many other favorites will be sung. This year, the Chimes are pleased to have Certifiable, a quartet from the Fun City Chorus, a men's barbershop quartet!!! In addition, the Dixieland Band will delight the audience with soul-stirring sounds of brass harmony. Also, there are barbershop quartets and a double quartet from Crystal Chimes that will present beautiful harmony.

The $10 tickets will soon be available.

Coming up for Christmas, the Crystal Chimes will again present their Cocoa, Cookies and Carols event. Any ladies who would like to sing with them are invited to rehearsals on Tuesdays at Christ of the Hills United Methodist Church on Balearic Road, at 1 p.m. Please call Ellie Ekdahl at 922-2305 for information on the best time to come to rehearsals and visit this friendly Chorus. Pat Bellamy can be contacted at 405-517-7979 to help with dates and times.
