Jubilee Forbess, front right, placed second in the Hot Springs Village Animal Welfare League's 2014 Student Essay Contest. Forbes was awarded the second-place prize of $50. The essay competition is an annual event open to all third grade students from Fountain Lake, Jessieville and Mountain Pine elementary schools. The winners were recognized in assemblies at their respective schools. Hayden Johnson, front left, earned an honorable mention.
