Nicholas and Alice Watts Hilt, of Hot Springs Village, will celebrate their 50th wedding anniversary today.
The couple were married April 19, 1965, in Ironwood, Mich. Nicholas Hilt is retired from 3M Co., co-owner of Hilt Publishing Inc. and founder/co-operator of Starting Over Ministries. Alice Hilt is co-owner Hilt Publishing Inc. and co-operator of Starting Over Ministries. They are members of Mountainside Methodist Church and Hot Springs Village Area Chamber of Commerce.
They are the parents of Theda Vangsness (fiance Jodie), of Maumelle; and grandparents of Tyler and Abbey Vangsness.
James and Eileen Lacy, of Hot Springs, will celebrate their 75th wedding anniversary with an open house at 2 p.m. today at West Shores Retirement Community and April 26 at Hot Springs Baptist Church following the meetings. No gifts, please. Cards are welcome.
The couple were married April 27, 1940, with Jessie Reed, husband of James Lacy's sister, Imogene, officiating. James Lacy, who is 95, was selected by Mobil Oil Co. to be the consignee at its Hot Springs plant and later he opened a Mobil station on Calella Road in Hot Springs Village, which is now a Shell franchise operation. He began a 20-year lease with Hot Springs Village developer Cooper Communities Inc. to manage and operate the first station in the Village. Eileen Lacy, 92, managed the Mobil station office and volunteered at National Park Medical Center. They are charter members of Hot Springs Baptist Church, enjoy fishing, baseball, basketball, football and she watches golf tournaments.
They have two sons, four grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren.
Gerald and Barbara Lester Leggett, of Hot Springs, celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary With a family trip to New Orleans.
The couple were married April 25, 1965, in First United Methodist Church, of Hot Springs. Gerald Leggett is a retired business manager from L&W Supply Corp. Barbara Leggett is a retired office manager from Luke Kauffman, DDS. They enjoy spending time fishing/hunting and communing with friends on houseboat dock on Lake Ouachita.
They are the parents of Christy and Luke Kauffman; and grandparents of Sarah and Spencer Kauffman.
Mike "Pete" and Billie Jane Rodgers Rainwater, of Hot Springs, will celebrate their 66th wedding anniversary Thursday.
The couple were married April 23, 1949, in Hot Springs, with the Rev. Bob Nusko officiating.
