Uzuri Project Youth Institute registration set for Saturday

Registration and orientation for The Uzuri Project Youth Institute will be held 10 a.m. to noon in the Life Center at Haven United Methodist Church, 107 Burroughs. This year, the Youth Institute -- Track II and III will center around character building, social skills; leadership development, communication skills and learning to interview and film oral histories.

There are no registration fees. This year, arts, a fashion show in December, singing with feeling and a field trip to Pine Bluff will be added, but you have to register to attend.

This is for young people who want to be armed for life. Do you want your young person jump-started into a future that will introduce them to people they would not have met before? Young people, are you afraid to be different? Youth Institute has developed a program for you. Are you between 12 and 17 years old and want to be a part of a team that will experience positive life changes ... then join Youth Institute. A parent must attend this important meeting.
