Dear editor: Obama's golf numbers

Dear editor:

Hot Springs writer C. Lonnie Waldrop states in his letter that the current president not only blames others for his actions or inactions or both or something, but that "besides golfing more than any president," he would blame his bad shots on something other than himself.

It doesn't take long to check Google to see if the numerical allegation has any merit, and, lo and behold, it doesn't. At least as of Aug. 23, 2014, President Obama had 186 games or rounds or whatever they are, and even though he has time left in his term, how likely is he to match President Eisenhower, who racked up 800, or Woodrow Wilson, who is credited with nearly 1,200 games? I'm no math whiz, but it seems to me that he'd need to play several games a day for the rest of his term to catch Wilson.

These figures come from politifact.com, which is run by a newspaper, the Tampa Bay Times, who are the folks who keep up with the lies of politicians by branding some as "pantsonfire" quality lies.
